Yosh!
Seems like almost one week I don't update anything in this blog. Well, I was so busy with my forex trading, writing notes on forex trading for my online clients (yeah, now I'm teaching forex online), some family stuff (my family held kenduri doa selamat on Thursday), and what not.
So today I'm going to write about financial literacy. The first time I read about these two words (financial literacy) is when I was reading Robert Kiyosaki's book, if I not mistaken, Rich Kid Smart Kid. Basically it is about knowledge in money management, etc. The higher financial literacy you have, the more money you can make and save - means you can buy more stuff $_$
In my opinion, there are 3 ways to increase your financial literacy:
1. Learn trough your bad experience - maybe you have mountain of credit card debt and then you managed to find a way out, maybe you don't have enough money to start a business but then somehow you still can start it, and anything related to money. When there is financial problem, every time you manage to solve it, that means your financial literacy has increased (whether it is a lot or little, depends on the difficulty of the problem(s).
2. Get a tutor - learn from rich people. But first, please choose the right "rich people". Some people are rich because their parents are rich, some people are rich because they inherited the fortune from someone, some people are rich because they hit the jackpot. Put them in the lowest priority, if you put them in your list. Pick the right "rich people", who become rich, by doing business, who started from zero to hero, who really become rich because of they worked for it. But you know, if you want to learn from them, show them that you really want to learn, show your credibility, etc - usually they are busy with their stuff, so make sure you are not wasting their time.
3. Books - the simplest and easiest way, but still, not many wanna read them. So many titles in the market, just pick the one you like. If you cannot afford to buy, then borrow. You never know which one is working for you unless you read them. The advantage of reading books is you don't need to face all the financial problems and then solve them to increase your financial literacy. You also don't need to find any rich man and convince him that you can be his best apprentice. So this is the simplest way to increase your knowledge.
That's all for today. Remember, before we can spend, we need to earn first $_$

Money Matters Reached 100 Unique Visitiors! $_$
Yosh!
*another off topic entry*
After 5 days online, this blog received 100 unique visitors! While the number is quite small, but still, I consider it is an achievement for this blog.
My next target is 250 unique visitors. Right now I just wanna build up some reputation by focusing more on content development (read: more entries). Here's some in my head right now, book reviews, services, shopping places.. hmm.. what ever relevant with earning and spending money. Currently I put more on earning money because in order to spend, you need to earn the money first $_$
Besides that I also promoting my blog in forums, but I don't see any hits coming from there for the time being - mostly come from Innit.
So that's it. Thank you for visiting. I'll add some more later $_$

10 Entries That I Think They Are Interesting $_$
Yosh!
I'm so bored tonight and I don't really wanna write anything about my experience or what not. Let's talk something off topic (since this blog is about money). Let's talk about blogging. Don't wanna talk about dangs, nobody like dangs unless you love to dang people.
Since I have nothing to do, I surf innit to read other people's blog. All the entries below I think quite interesting (in my perspective).
Making Money Out of Nothing $_$ (Part 2)
Yosh!
First, thank you to all visitors! My previous post, Making Money Out of Nothing $_$ managed to get top 10 in Innit!
Thank you for all your nangs $_$
Now I'm going to share with you guys, my another experience, making money out of nothing. This time, when I was in matriculation.
Each semester every students will receive scholarship, RM 1000 per semester and that was my first semester and when I have that much money, I felt like want to buy my first handphone (I had one when I was in secondary school but someone stole it). And I bought one. And that time my parents were expecting me to use that money for my education *what ever*.
In short, I was fucked up. I have new handphone, but I don't have enough money to buy food (means I still have some).
*I make this story short*
This is what I did - I contacted my friend, and asked him, whether his mother can supply me food, so I can sell from room-to-room - she (his mother) said yes.
From that day, she supplied me pizza (read: 'roti pizza'). I bought at 70 cent each and sold all of them at RM 1 each. In the beginning, I managed to get the pizza first, and pay her in the next day. But later, she refused.
I felt like I was fucked up again. I need around RM 70 - 105 per day to pay the pizza or else the supply will be cut.
I asked my roommate "Can you lend me RM 70?"
He was very reluctant because he come from not-so-rich family, so for him RM 70 is quite big.
"Nevermind, I pay you back before midnight." I told him. By hook or by crook, I need that money. I managed to convince him, and he gave me the money.
Starting that day, I'll borrow my friend's money, pay the supplier, get the pizza, sell from room-to-room, and by midnight, I pay my friend's money back, but I keep RM 30 profit I earned - and I did that for almost everyday!
Earning RM 30 - 45 in 2 hours, that's quite a lot - if you work in fast food restaurant, you need to work more than 8 hours ;)
That was how I survive when I don't have enough money in matriculation. By the way, since I earn that much money, everyday I have nasi ayam or spaghetti for lunch and chicken chop or fish and chips with fruit juice for dinner $_$
Now, who says you need to have cash in your pocket to start your own business? $_$

Making Money Out of Nothing $_$
Yosh!
Today I'm going to share my first time experience making money. I was in boarding school that time and holding the highest post in 'Koperasi Sekolah' (What's that in English? School bookshop? I have no idea. Could you please put that in comment if you know).
By the way I didn't really earn money by working there - read more $_$
Living in boarding school, you eat 5 times a day - breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and supper, at the dining hall. If you need more food, can buy at the canteen. Twice a month you can go out to the town to buy some stocks (instant noodles, biscuits, etc) and have KFC or McDonald. If you are cunning enough, you can go out every weekend and if you are really naughty, you can go out everyday. I used to do that when I was in form 3, I went out almost everyday, either by cheating to the guard or warden, or use the school van for free ride :p
But you can't really have any food at night when both dining hall and canteen are closed and you don't have enough courage to go out by climbing the fence. I was broke that time and I got an idea.
I talked to the teacher who was in charge for 'koperasi'. I talked to her, I wanna sell cookies at the hostel and I wanna buy it from 'koperasi' but I don't really have money in my pocket. I requested from her to take a jar of cookies first and I pay the next day. She agreed (I don't think I took advantage of my position at that time :p).
One jar have around 80-100 cookies and I sell them for 20 cent each. Cost me around RM 15 - 17, so I earn around RM 3 - 5 per jar. I started selling one jar, from dorm to dorm. I was in form 5 that time, I tried to be nice to all juniors and sold the cookies to them - after one hour, sold out. Usually I start my business after school session (after lunch) and before midnight.
I did that almost everyday. From one jar, slowly I added more up to 12 jars! So my customers (the juniors) have more choices. My profit increased. I earned more money and I started all that with nothing in my pocket $_$
That was my first experience in making money. I'll share with you guys my other experience in making money later. Thank you for visiting $_$

Let's Talk About Earning Money $_$
Yosh!
Before I post entries regarding products, services or what not, why not first I talk about earning money.
Without money we can't really buy anything. Money is not everything but nowadays everything need money. Basically money give us more options. In example, people who don't have money, if they need go to one place, they will go there by walking or cycling, but if they have money, they can go there by buy bus or cab.
I have few experience regarding to getting money into my pocket. At one time, I earned more than RM 2000 in a month and I'm just a law student. I will share my experience later in other entry.
Basically there are 2 types of income, active and passive. Active income is when you work and you earn for it. In example, you go to office and work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5 days a week and earn few hundreds in a month. That is active income - you need to use your energy and time to earn for it.
Another one is passive income. In example, you own a house, you rent it out. At the end of the month, your tenant pay you money. You don't work, but you earn money. This type of income use less energy and time to earn it. Investing is also another type of passive income.
What ever which type of income you have, the sweetest time is when you the money is in your pocket and you can do anything with that. You can spend it for fun or you can invest it for more money! $_$
That's all for today. Next entry I'm going to share with you guys my experience earning money. Be patient, because if I put everything in one entry, then tomorrow I won't have much thing to write ;)
Thank you for visiting $_$

Money Matters $_$
Yosh!
Hi all, welcome to my latest blog, Money Matters $_$. This is my second blog after Aku Budak Law -_-" (ABL).
Actually, I wanted to put all in one blog but a after thinking about it for a while, it is better for me to start a new one.
Right now ABL has two themes in its content - sometimes I write about law and my life as a law student and sometimes I write about forex trading. Since I trade five days a week, there will be at most 5 entries about forex, with few paragraphs about life and if I add another theme, the blog would be crowded.
So I start a new one, Money Matters. I love money, and I enjoy spending every single cents of it. After SPM, I started to read writings regarding money and financial management. I read books written by Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, etc and I enjoy reading magazines like Personal Money, Smart Investor, etc. When I was in matriculation, I started a blog about this topic but it didn't stay long. I hope this time this blog will stay longer.
Besides that, I love shopping! Who doesn't? Only people with no money don't like to shop! :p So besides blogging about money and financial management, I also wanna blog about shopping. I'm not a shopaholic, but I love books and gadgets. I like games also even though nowadays I don't play much like I used to.
In short, in this blog I'm going to write about earning and spending money ;) What's the point having money if you don't spend it?
Please visit this blog frequently, and if you like this blog, you can tip by clicking the link at the top left side bar. Just a click, and you don't need to pay anything ;)
